Endo Tools Therapeutics is pleased to announce that the first patient randomized to the interventional arm of the ESTIME trial was successfully treated with the endomina® triangulation platform. Dr. Pierre-Yves Eyraud of the CHU Grenoble successfully performed the procedure.

ESTIME is a prospective, multicenter randomized controlled trial. Its objective is to demonstrate that endoscopic gastroplasty performed with the endomina can help patients with type II diabetes enter remission through weight loss. The trial also evaluates outcomes in terms of quality of life and reduction of medication.

ESTIME will include 205 study participants. To date, 13 centers are actively recruiting patients. Endo Tools is looking forward to more procedures in the weeks and months to come.
